WORD-FOR-WORD: This is what Dammy said after her unprecedented cook-a-thon achievement
Nigerian Ekiti state-born Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, has set a new record of 120 hours in marathon cooking.
Platforms Africa reports that with this, Adeparus’s effort will now stand before the Guiness World Records committee for review.
She set the record between the hours of 00:00- 01:00 on Wednesday, June 14.

Chef Dammy finally reached the 120-hour landmark in the ongoing cook-a-thon, five straight days after she began the move.

This is coming barely a few hours after record holder for the longest hours in cooking (individual category), Chef Hilda Baci , who cooked on a stretch for 100 hours, was certified by the Guinness World Records.
In her reaction, the now popular chef wrote; “120hrs done!
“I want to appreciate you all for your support emotionally, financially, physically & spiritually… if not for you guys I wouldn’t be able to achieve this.” (sic)
